Our Mission:

Welcome to Green Binz! We are a non-profit organization that collects new and gently used school supplies and donates them. The founding team members researched and identified that gently used school supplies were thrashed into landfill at the year-end locker cleanout. Green Binz team started collecting, sorting, and distributing these supplies to various charities that distribute to underprivileged communities.

Success So Far:

Green Binz has been collecting supplies for the last eight (8) years from Livingston Schools, Library, and township outreach events. Over these years we have collected close to 13,000 pounds of school supplies, tied-up with a number of charities and have distributed supplies to around 150 families each year.

Way Forward:

Green Binz team has received strong interests for starting this program in various schools and townships. Given that Green Binz already has the process in place and charities lined up, the board members decided to expand this effort by setting up Chapters under the parent organization. Each Chapter will have a lead with a team under them to expand Greenbinz’s initiative in their township.

Typical Collection:

Writing utensils, crayons, erasers, folders, binders, notebooks and more! We also accept other educational supplies (art supplies, books, rulers, calculators, locker decorations, etc.)
