These terms apply to your use of greenbinz.org and to requests made through the site concerning GreenBinz collections, volunteer activities, chapters, and the reuse of school supplies. By using the site, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these terms.
Our mission and website
GreenBinz provides educational information and helps connect people interested in collecting, sorting, and redistributing new or gently used school supplies. Website content is for general information and community coordination. It is not professional, legal, tax, environmental, or safety advice.
Acceptable use
You may use the site for lawful personal, educational, and community purposes. You may not interfere with site operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, impersonate another person or organization, scrape information in a way that burdens the site, or use our name to mislead donors, schools, recipients, or volunteers.
Collection and donation requests
Submitting a form or message does not guarantee that GreenBinz can accept, collect, store, transport, or distribute particular items. Arrangements depend on condition, quantity, timing, volunteer capacity, recipient needs, available space, and safety considerations. Do not leave supplies at a school, residence, business, or collection location unless the drop-off has been confirmed by an authorized coordinator.
Condition and suitability
Items should be clean, safe, usable, and appropriate for an educational setting. GreenBinz may decline or responsibly dispose of items that are damaged, contaminated, recalled, unsafe, incomplete, or not useful to recipient organizations. Donors are responsible for removing personal information from notebooks, labels, devices, and other materials before transfer.
Transfer and distribution
Unless a written arrangement states otherwise, supplies provided for redistribution may be sorted, combined, redirected to an appropriate recipient, recycled, or otherwise handled in a manner consistent with program needs. We cannot guarantee that a specific item will reach a particular person, school, charity, or location.
Volunteers, schools, and chapters
Participation may require separate approval, school authorization, adult supervision, safety procedures, scheduling, or written guidelines. A person may not represent themselves as an official GreenBinz chapter, collect money in our name, create binding commitments, or use GreenBinz branding for an event without authorization. Minors should participate with appropriate parent, guardian, school, or program supervision.
Accuracy and availability
We aim to keep information useful and current, but program details, statistics, collection schedules, recipient needs, and third-party resources can change. We do not promise that the site will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or complete. Contact us before relying on a time-sensitive collection or participation detail.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, the GreenBinz name, original text, graphics, photographs, and program materials on this site belong to GreenBinz or are used with permission. You may link to public pages and make reasonable noncommercial use for education with attribution. You may not imply endorsement, remove notices, or reproduce branding or substantial content for fundraising, commercial use, or a competing program without permission.
Third-party services
Links, embedded media, schools, recipient organizations, and service providers are offered for convenience or program coordination. GreenBinz does not control every third party and is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, acts, or omissions.
Disclaimers and limitation of responsibility
The site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. GreenBinz does not make warranties about fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted access, or the outcome of a collection or distribution. To the extent permitted by applicable law, GreenBinz is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss resulting from use of the site or reliance on its content.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded. Participants remain responsible for reasonable care, compliance with school and site rules, safe transportation and lifting, and obtaining any permissions required for an activity.
Changes, suspension, and contact
We may update the site, these terms, or program access as practices change, and may restrict use that threatens safety, integrity, or operations. The effective date identifies the current version. Questions can be submitted through our Contact Us page.
